Logging In to Shorecrest Systems

Students will access three Shorecrest systems throughout the year. All three systems are synchronized so that students need to remember just one set of login credentials.

Haiku:
Teachers will utilize Haiku to manage their classrooms. This online system will be used to post resources, assignments, and grades. Teachers will also use Haiku’s interactive features such as discussion forums, wikis, polls, and assessments to support instruction and foster student collaboration. Haiku is a cloud-based system, which means it can be accessed anytime, anywhere. Students can access their Haiku accounts from their iPads as well as from home computers. All classes will be accessed from the one system. The following video walks you through the basics of Haiku. http://tinyurl.com/studenthaikuvideo

Google Apps:
Each student in 5th - 12th grade has been assigned a Shorecrest email. Email can be accessed from https://email.shorecrest.org or through a Gmail app on their iPad. In addition to their personal email boxes, students may have access to divisional and grade-level groups, Google Drive, and calendars.

Shorecrest Intranet:
Students will use the Intranet to log in to campus computers, access the school's wireless, and log in to other systems such as completing teacher surveys, logging community service hours, and registering for Mini-Mester week.

To log in to the Intranet:
• Enter your first and last name, capitalized correctly, separated by an underscore ( _ ), like this:
Ralph_Malph
Ralph Van Law becomes Ralph_Van_Law and Brian O'Neil is Brian_ONeil.

Access the underscore by holding down the Shift key and typing a hyphen (on the top row of the keyboard, just to the right of the digit 0).

• Enter the password you were given.
Be sure there are no extra spaces or other extraneous characters in the name or password fields.
