SHORECREST PREPARATORY SCHOOL
STRATEGIC PLAN for 2010

MISSION

To provide our students with opportunities to grow intellectually and morally, to find artistic fulfillment, to achieve physical fitness and to develop a sense of their responsibility to our local and global communities.

THE STRATEGIC PLAN STORY

During the 2005-2006 school year the Shorecrest Preparatory School Board of Trustees employed educational consultant Susan C. Stone to facilitate our school community through an extensive planning process. Shorecrest trustees, parents, faculty, staff, students and alumni contributed to the development of the plan. The process has energized and united the Shorecrest community around a plan to advance the programs and operations. Yet, the resulting plan is only the beginning of this planning cycle. The Administration, in collaboration with the Board of Trustees and with Mrs. Stone's guidance, is developing an implementation plan for each goal and the objectives stated in this strategic plan. Additionally, the Board is committed to quarterly reviews and updates of the implementation phases. The community-wide input from 18 listening sessions, a school-wide assessment survey, a planning workshop and feedback opportunities have ensured that the Plan for 2010 reflects the best of collective thinking and aspirations of the Shore c rest community. Now, it is time to join hands and work collaboratively to achieve our new goals. Our children, families, teachers, and the Tampa Bay area will be the beneficiaries of our work and generosity. As the words of the plan transform into programs and behaviors, we will all be able to celebrate the great educational opportunities and the legacy we are developing.
