The websites listed below will help students research colleges, learn about standardized testing, and identify articles on a range of topics related to college admissions.

College Search Links

College View: College View's college search feature offers profiles of over 3,800 colleges and universities and information on financial aid and scholarships.

Yahoo College Search: Use the Yahoo search engine to find specific college/university webpage. Also find articles and publications on college related issues.

Go College :In addition to a rich college search database, this site offers free SAT and ACT practice tests.

College Express : Great graphics lead you through the college search. Click on "Sports Complex" for information about athletics; estimate your financial aid package at the "Financial Aid Office"; or apply online at the "Admissions Office"

Peterson's College Search : A free service but you will have to create a member name and password to log on. You can choose to receive information about Peterson's and their products, services, and a monthly newsletter. Be sure to disable both check boxes when you register if you do not want these extras.

College Board : On this comprehensive website you will find information on planning for college, taking all the tests offered through Collgege Board, SAT, SAT II, AP's, PSAT, finding the right college, applying, and finding ways to pay for college.

US News College Search :This site is best known for its ranking of colleges but it also offers a search engine that will allow you to enter a large variety of criteria and find schools that match. The give you profiles on colleges from the Fiske Guide.

Compass Prep: This website provides the most comprehensive and up-to-date list of colleges and universities that require, recommend, or consider Subject tests for admissions. This list gives good information but no list can replace the nuances of a school's specific policy.  Please visit the school's website or call the admissions office for the most accurate information.

Organized by your interests from financial aid and student life to career planning services offered by colleges. This book of lists suggests dozens of schools that fit your personal needs.

The College Handbook, The College Board, 2005

The only comprehensive guide to every accredited two-year and four year college in the United States.

Peterson’s Four Year Colleges, Profiles all four year undergraduate institutions in the United States and gives state by state summaries and a list of what majors are offered where.

The Fiske Guide To Colleges, 2005, Crown Publishing Group. Gives subjective descriptions, personality profiles of colleges.

The Best 345 Colleges by Robert Franek, Random House Inc., 100,000 students speak out about their colleges’ classes, professors, dorms, social scene, sports and more.

Barron’s Profiles Of American Colleges, Barron’s Educational Series Inc., Aug. 2004,1650 schools are profiled with details on admissions, academics, costs, facilities, campus environment, extra-curricular activities and contact information.
