FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE

Shorecrest makes all admissions decisions without regard to financial status, and financial aid in the form of partial tuition scholarships is available beginning at the kindergarten level for families who demonstrate need. (Financial aid is not available for preschool.) In determining need, the guidelines of the School & Student Scholarship Service (SSS) for Financial Aid are used. It is important to note that Shorecrest may not be able to accommodate all financial aid applicants in a given year. Students who receive financial assistance are expected to maintain grades of C or better and an acceptable disciplinary and attendance record. Once a student is awarded financial aid, however, the assistance continues through graduation, provided the family continues to demonstrate need and the student remains in good standing. Because need is assessed annually, the Financial Aid Committee requires an SSS form be submitted every year.

Requests for financial assistance are considered only after you have received a letter of acceptance from the school and completed the steps below.

FINANCIAL AID APPLICATION PROCEDURES

  • Request the School & Student Scholarship Service (SSS) form from the Admissions Office (Available early November).

  • Complete Parent's Financial Statement and mail original directly to Princeton, New Jersey, by March 10.

  • Send copy of Parent's Financial Statement and your previous year's Income Tax Return to our Financial Aid Office by March 10.

  • Keep copy for your records.

Shorecrest's Financial Aid Committee will determine awards by mid-April.

Shorecrest Preparatory School welcomes candidates for admission or employment, regardless of age, race, culture, gender, sexual orientation, religion, socio-economic status, national or ethnic origin, and does not discriminate on the basis of any category protected by law in the administration of any of its programs.
