Did You Know...
- The Shorecrest Concert Band was invited to play at a presidential
inauguration in Washington, D.C.
- During the past twenty-five years, the Shorecrest Cultural
Enrichment Program has brought hundreds of national and international
artists to perform and hold workshops on campus.
- The Shorecrest Vocal Music instructor has published four original
musicals. He has also composed the music for numerous Ruth Eckerd
Hall children’s shows as well as twelve American Stage
Company SHAKESPEARE iN
THE PARK productions.
- The Shorecrest Instrumental Music instructor has been a percussionist
for the Syracuse Symphony, the Florida Orchestra, the Sarasota
Opera, the Tampa Bay Opera and the Oxford Bach choir of London,
to name just a few. He has also been a recording artist for RCA
records and played with some of the finest “Big Bands” of
all time, including, Tommy Dorsey, Guy Lombardo, Xavier Cugat
and Doc Severinsen.
