The Booster Club
The Shorecrest Booster Club is a group of parents and friends who support all Shorecrest athletic programs. Shorecrest has a rich history of athletics, with 34 sports teams, involving an impressive 85% of the Middle and Upper Division students. The goal of the Booster Club is to make Shorecrest Athletic programs one of the finest in the state. Each year the Boosters undertake special projects to enhance the programs and facilities, and its success is a direct result of the energy and time of its membership.
Your Booster Club Fundraising at Work
In 2006-2007, Booster Club fund raising efforts paid for a donation to the Shorecrest Endowment fund, "Sparky" our school mascot, game officials, ambulances, trophies, academic athlete awards, videos of Charger games, concession stand equipment, DVD/VHS equipment, ice machine repair, A/C for concession stand, shade tent, a contribution for athletic teams transportation, fan buses to State Soccer, fan admission to State soccer, bandanas for State soccer, soccer equipment, football equipment, and speakers for baseball field.
Raising Funds
Booster Club membership dues provides about 50% of the funding to support our school’s athletic programs. In addition to membership, concessions sales, game admission fees, and Spirit Wear merchandise sales raise funds. The Shorecrest athletic programs are an intricate part of the balanced educational experience our children receive. A Significant portion of the Booster Club budget comes from our membership contributions, so please consider becoming an active member! You are welcome to attend our monthly meetings (usually the first Monday of the month in the Student Activity Center) and become involved in this fun and important group of parents
