STEAM Signature Program Home Academics Upper School (Grades 9-12) STEAM Signature Program

The STEAM Signature Program is a pathway for Upper School students (grades 9-12) to pursue STEAM-related coursework that allows them to apply critical thinking and 21st Century skills while investigating a specialized area of interest.

To prepare students for a globally competitive world, they should be problem solvers, critical thinkers, and great communicators. We achieve this by having our students take courses that will help them learn the skills, tools, and approaches - as well as gain experiences - that will help them in college and beyond.

STEAM Students select an area of study within the STEAM Signature Program:

  • Art
  • Computer Science
  • Engineering
  • Entrepreneurship & Design
  • Medical Engineering

In addition to taking at least three courses within their area of study, students must participate in the Seminar in Applied STEAM and Entrepreneurship during senior year after all required coursework. They will work on a self-directed culminating project relevant to their specialty area. Students must earn at least a B in the seminar course and on the final project to earn the final certificate.

Course requirements for each area of study are listed in the most recent Upper School Course Catalog.
