Teachers utilize PowerSchool Learning to manage their classrooms. The online system is used to post resources, assignments, and grades. Teachers also use PowerSchool Learning's interactive features such as discussion forums, wikis, polls, and assessments to support instruction and foster student collaboration. PowerSchool Learning is a cloud-based system, which means it can be accessed anytime, anywhere. Students can access their PowerSchool Learning accounts from iPad devices as well as from home computers. All classes will be accessed from the one system.
Each student in grades 5-12 has been assigned a Shorecrest email. Email can be accessed from http://email.shorecrest.org or through a Gmail app on your iPad. In addition to personal email boxes, students may have access to divisional and grade-level groups, Google Drive, and calendars.
Students will use the Intranet to log in to campus computers, access the school's wireless, and log in to other systems such as completing teacher surveys, logging community service hours, and registering for Mini-Mester week.
To log in to the Intranet:
• Enter your first and last name, capitalized correctly, separated by an underscore ( _ ), like this: Ralph_Malph Ralph Van Law becomes Ralph_Van_Law and Brian O'Neil is Brian_ONeil.
Access the underscore by holding down the Shift key and typing a hyphen (on the top row of the keyboard, just to the right of the digit 0).
• Enter the password you were given. Be sure there are no extra spaces or other extraneous characters in the name or password fields.
