From the Director of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion

My name is Roderick Avery Fludd and I am the NEW Director of Diversity and Inclusion at Shorecrest Preparatory School. My first year at Shorecrest has been filled with lots of work with a community that understands the importance of equity in an educational environment. In my first seven months, I have had the benefit of working with the Board of Trustees, senior administration, faculty and students in all divisions, staff, and parents. My work with students continues to grow and the passion of our current students shows that Shorecrest works for cultural competency and awareness all of its community members.

As I am the first person to hold this position at Shorecrest, I would like to gather information about the experiences of underrepresented minorities who have previously attended Shorecrest Preparatory School. By collecting this information, I hope to give some direction to the continuing work that will be happening at our school.

I invite you to take this brief survey to help Shorecrest maintain its work on becoming an even more inclusive and welcoming community. This survey should take about 20 minutes to complete. The survey will remain available until April 1, 2018.

If you have not looked at the updates made to the Shorecrest website this school year, I invite you to visit the new Diversity Webpage on shorecrest.org.

Sincerely,

Mr. Roderick Avery Fludd
Director of Diversity and Inclusion
