Gain a solid knowledge base of what social justice is and what it looks like in classroom environments.
This workshop provides an opportunity for educators to collaborate on ways to implement a social justice curriculum in their classroom. Individual school communities will be strengthened by this work, which honors the necessity to create critically conscious citizens.
In a series of five, one-hour sessions, Khana Rebman, a dynamic and passionate teacher at Shorecrest, will lead lower and middle school educators through discussions, activities, resources, and reflections that will lead to action plans for their classrooms. This will not only impact your classroom practice but will forever change your view of yourself as a teacher.
Participants will explore a variety of topics and leave with teaching strategies and an action plan. If you’re inspired to do this work, your classroom will never be the same!
