Effective Communication Strategies for Difficult Conversations
Your heart races, your hands sweat, you forget what you wanted to say, you’ve dreaded this conversation all day. Difficult conversations are a part of life, but they don’t have to be overwhelming.
Teachers: Take the Uncertainty and Stress out of Difficult Conversations
Learn how to apply flexible yet effective strategies to the context of difficult conversations, while also building a sense of mastery and self-respect.
As teachers, we engage in sensitive conversations almost on a daily basis - with students, parents, colleagues, and administrators. Most recently, we have been talking more about social justice and social-emotional needs, topics which may be new to us.
Join Dr. Stephanie Cojocaru this summer for 6 one-hour sessions where you can explore and learn concrete strategies for planning and holding difficult conversations. Dr. Cojocaru will introduce you to several tools that facilitate successful communication and you will have the opportunity to apply them to school-based scenarios with other educators.
We want to build a cohort of teachers working together to develop these skills, so space is limited. There is no charge for this interactive, virtual workshop.
