Coed, independent, PK3-12th grade school in St. Petersburg, Florida.
    • Meet the Class of 2021

The Class of 2021 through the Years:

On Saturday, May 22, the 81-member Class of 2021 will be the first at Shorecrest Preparatory School to receive their diplomas on the Charger Commons Greenspace. Among the graduating class are 7 students recognized by the National Merit Scholarship Corp., 1 military appointment, 2 Presidential Scholar candidates, 3 NCAA committed student-athletes, many Thespians, at least 2 pilots and 4 sets of twins!

Collectively the Class of 2021 completed nearly 12,000 service hours during their four years of high school through roles close to home with The Kind Mouse, Saint Anthony's Hospital and Guardian ad Litem, and nationally through Relay For Life and Camp Jenny among others.

Legacies are an important component of community-building here at Shorecrest. The Class of 2021 includes four legacy students, with at least one parent who attended Shorecrest in the past. Julia Craig’s father, Hutch is a graduate of the Class of 1989; Lauren Epstein’s father, Jay is a graduate of the Class of 1984, and her mother also attended Shorecrest; Madeleine Pollack’s father, Woody is a graduate of the Class of 1993, and Channing Jung’s parents are both Shorecrest alumni, with his mother, Darby and father, Ming part of the Class of 1988. The connections for this class are strengthened with more members having relatives who have served on the Board of Trustees or who are faculty members.

Lifers also hold a special place here at Shorecrest. As a PK-12 independent school, students can be enrolled in the same school for a lifetime. Of the Class of 2021, there are 32 students who attended Shorecrest for at least 12 years and are considered “Lifers.” They will be awarded a longevity medal during this year’s Commencement.

Meet the 2021 Valedictorian and Outstanding Senior, Shaherzad Chawdree

Shorecrest’s Class of 2021 Valedictorian, Shaherzad Chawdree is widely known in the Shorecrest community as an outstanding scholar, experienced musician, and upstanding citizen. Twice named Top Scholar and Outstanding Citizen for her class, Shaherzad is the Chair of the student-run Honor Council, working to uphold the Shorecrest Core Value of integrity. She will matriculate to the University of Chicago.

Meet the 2021 Salutatorian, Hailey Levitz

Class of 2021 Salutatorian Hailey Levitz has a love of learning and curiosity well beyond just earning a good grade. She has been recognized as a National Merit Finalist and is a candidate for the 2021 U.S. Presidential Scholars Program - one of the highest honors bestowed upon graduating high school seniors. Hailey will attend Barnard College.
