Varsity Chargers Softball Week of April 1

Chargers 3, Indian Rocks Christian 9
The Chargers took on Indian Rocks Friday, March 29. The Charger offense was led by Ashlee Burkett '19, Lillee B. '23, Asha Swann '21 and Jaina Swann '22, as they each picked up a hit on the day. Jaina earned two of the RBIs, while Lillee picked up one RBI. Jaina pitched four innings and picked up seven strikeouts, while Asha pitched three innings, picking up two strikeouts.
 
Chargers 0, St. Stephens 12
For the second time this season, St. Stephens gave the Chargers a tough game. Summer Ford '21 and Asha Swann '21 led the Charger defense. Summer went two for 2 for 2 at the plate with a double, while Asha went 2 for 3 with a triple. Lillee B., Rachel Ford '21, Jaina Swann '22, Taylor R. '23, and Ashlee Burkett '19 each picked up a hit, as well.

Dorothy Cenedella '21 pitched incredibly and picked up two strikeouts. Jaina closed the game and picked up one strikeout against five batters faced.

Shorecrest will travel to Clearwater Central Catholic to play this Friday, April 5, at 4pm.
The Chargers will play Indian Rocks Christian, Northside Christian, and St. Pete Catholic next week.
The Chargers’ Tuesday game against Keswick was cancelled and has been rescheduled for Monday, April 15.
