Chargers 5, Northside Christian 8
Shorecrest scattered nine hits over 7 innings in a 5-8 loss to Northside on Thursday, April 11. Owen Harris '20, Ashton Reynolds '19 and JC Barrott '22 all managed multiple hits for the Chargers. Jack Zikmund '22 took the loss for Shorecrest, allowing 8 runs on 10 hits over 4 innings of work.
 
Chargers 3, St. Pete Catholic 6
The Varsity baseball team battled to a 3-3 tie going into the 7th inning, but fell short when SPC scored 3 in the top of the inning to seal the win on April 9. Owen Harris '20 led the team with 3 hits in 3 at bats in the game. JC Barrott '22 also collected multiple hits. Alexander Alvarez '23 started the game on the mound for the Chargers. He allowed 3 runs over 5 innings, striking out 4 and not giving up a run in his innings of work. Ashton Reynolds '19 took the loss, allowing 3 hits and 3 runs over 2 innings of work.
 
Chargers 11, Academy at the Lakes 3
The Varsity baseball team cruised into an easy victory over Academy at the Lakes, winning 11-3 on April 5.  The team notched 4 runs in the 4th inning with Ashton Reynolds '19, Ben Berner '19, Jack Zikmund '22 and Will Rutledge '20 all driving in runs that inning. Zikmund started the game, surrendering 2 runs on 2 hits over 1 and 2/3 innings. Aidan Counsman '21 and Reynolds came out of the bullpen to help close the game in relief. The team collected 11 hits with Will Forney '19, Reynolds and JC Barrott all collecting multiple hits, including a homerun by Ashton. Forney led the team going 3-for-4 in the game.
 
Chargers 17, Lakeside Christian 0
On April 4, the Chargers put up 9 runs in the first inning on its way to a 17-0 victory over Lakeside Christian. Ashton Reynolds '19, Walker Willis '19, Devin Shanahan '20, Channing Jung '21, Owen Harris '20 and Will Rutledge '20 all drove in runs in that first inning. Bill Bircher '22 started the game and got the win, allowing 2 hits and no runs over 3 innings of work. He struck out 5 and didn’t walk a batter during that stretch.
