Chargers 13, Lakeside Christian 0
The Chargers celebrated Ashlee Burkett ‘19 in their Senior Night game against Lakeside Christian on Monday, April 22. Ashlee batted .500 with 2 RBIs and one run scored.

Lillee B. ‘23, Taylor R. ‘23, and Rachel Ford ‘21 each had two hits in the 13-0 win, while Ashlee, Asha Swann ‘21, Jaina Swann ‘22, Dorothy Cenedella ‘21, and Summer Ford ‘21contributed a hit each. Lillee and Dorothy picked up 3 RBIs each, while Ashlee and Rachel each came away with two RBIs.

Asha recorded eight strikeouts in the shutout.


Chargers 10, Keswick Christian 0
The Chargers finished the regular season with a win against Keswick. Libby C. ‘24 stole home in the fifth inning to run rule Keswick 10-0.

Taylor R. ‘23 led the Charger’s defense, going 3 for 4 at the plate with a double, a triple, and 4 RBIs. Asha Swann ‘21, Jaina Swann ‘22, Lillee B. ‘23, and Libby C. each contributed a hit to the shutout. Jaina pitched all five innings, earning the win.

The Chargers end the regular season with a winning record, finishing with 10 wins and 8 losses.
 
Up Next:
Friday’s game against Lakeside Christian was cancelled.
The Chargers will play in the District tournament next week, which will be hosted by St. Stephens in Bradenton. The first District tournament game will be Shorecrest against Indian Rocks Christian on Monday at 2pm.
