Updates from Chargers Athletics

by Anthony McCall, Athletic Director
Welcome back Chargers! We are looking forward to another incredible year for Shorecrest Athletics and to building Charger spirit across our community. Just like our student-athletes, we in the Athletic Department are always working to improve our game. This year you'll notice some changes that are designed to improve communication and inclusivity for our athletes and their families.

With 46 teams of 14 sports, there is always something going on for Chargers Athletics. Many of our students play multiple sports; and schedules, locations and changes can sometimes be a challenge. We have partnered with TeamSnap, a sports team management app, to help streamline the process. A number of you may be familiar with TeamSnap, as several of student-athletes' club and traveling teams have used or currently use it.
  • Designed for coaches, players and their families, TeamSnap allows coaches and the athletic department to communicate changes immediately via the app.
  • Fans can still count on up to date information on the Athletics page of
  • TeamSnap registration is sports specific and will begin once team rosters are solidified.
  • Families of athletes will receive more information from coaches.
Athletic Council
Another exciting change this year is the evolution of our Booster Club into the Athletic Council. The board of the new Athletic Council includes parents/guardians of students from all four schools - Experiential, Lower, Middle and Upper. We welcome families of athletes and non-athletes alike to get involved. Our goal is to pack the stands at each Chargers game/match/meet and show our students that we support them! If you would like to learn more and get involved, I urge you to contact me at
