ES Global Library Book Donation Drive

by Dr. Sherri Danyali, Head of The Experiential School of Tampa Bay
From February 24-28, ES families are invited to drop off books on Pratt Blvd at ES morning arrival carline. Volunteers will be on hand with wagons at the carline to collect books. The goal of creating a Global Library in The Experiential School is to honor children’s home languages and cultures so they can see themselves represented and to expose all children to the languages and cultures of our Shorecrest families. We are looking for children’s picture books for ages 3-7 that can be classic stories in different languages, simple information books, and traditional cultural stories. Donated books can be gently used.

Request: Volunteers to collect books at arrival carline 7:30am-8:00am, Feb. 24-28.

Multilingual parent volunteers are invited to read to Alpha and JK students in their language(s) of origin. Students will be given the opportunity to ask questions about other cultures and traditions during the storytime. If you would like to volunteer to read one morning next semester, please contact Mr. Fludd at It is approximately a half hour commitment.
