Distance Learning Silver Linings

by Raffi Darrow, Ebytes Editor
As Chargers face new growth and learning experiences through distance learning, expressions of appreciation combined with stories of how families are meeting the challenges of social distancing and self isolation are inspiring. Read more in this week's letter from the Headmaster, and find some great distance learning moments below.

Experiential School:

Philip M from Mrs. Hahn's JK class had fun creating his forest habitat.

Mrs. Hahn gave all of her students' plants some extra TLC in her guest room over the weekend.

Rohini B's video response to Ms. Rosas' question, "How do people communicate across the globe?"

Lower School:

Mrs. Johnson's class logged in for their live Morning Meeting today, and the virtual hugs were amazing. Talk about a mood-booster!

Singing Spanish songs along with videos that have captions helps you learn new words!

Middle School:

Fifth graders were asked to share positive feedback about distance learning during CPR. Students shared that they are thankful for the hard work their teachers are doing and are enjoying not having to wake up as early for the commute. Positivity!

Upper School:

During Intro to Recording Arts, students listened to each other's work and gave constructive feedback. "It's been great fun doing this in Zoom!" said Band Director Ethan Updike.
