Big Second Inning Propels Chargers Win Over Indian Rocks Christian

Seven runs in the second inning led the Chargers past Indian Rocks Christian 8-1 on February 16. Cooper R. '25, Jack Zikmund '22, Wes Ryan '25, and Eli Thomas '25 each had RBIs in the frame.

The Chargers got things moving in the first inning. JC Barrott '22 doubled on a 3-1 count, scoring one run.

The Chargers tallied seven runs in the second inning. Cooper R. '25, Jack Zikmund '22, Wes Ryan '25, and Eli Thomas '25 each drove in runs during the inning.

Alex Alvarez '21 was credited with the victory for the Chargers! The right hander went three innings, allowing zero runs on two hits and striking out seven. Jake D. '25 and Bill Bircher '22 entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.

Moyer took the loss for Indian Rocks Christian. The pitcher surrendered six runs on two hits over one and two-thirds innings, striking out one.

Cooper R. '25 went 2-for-2 at the plate to lead the Chargers in hits. The Chargers didn't commit a single error in the field. Ryan had the most chances in the field with seven.
