Charger Pens "Northeast Journal" Series

by Raffi Darrow, Ebytes Editor
Shorecrest student Mila Salamone '22 is a published writer for a series in the "Northeast Journal," a local neighborhood newspaper. The second installment of her series is now available in the September/October issue of the NEJ.

Along the lines of Charles Dickens, who published stories in weekly or monthly installments, a portion of a murder mystery written by Mila was published in the May/June 2021 issue of the "Northeast Journal."

"The idea is that when I publish with them in the future I can continue the story. It’s perhaps one of the most exciting things that’s ever happened for me in terms of my creative expression," Mila shared excitedly.

Mila is now listed on the masthead among their writers and contributors. Read the digital edition of the May/June issue here and the second installment in the Sept/Oct issue here.
