Key Club Volunteers with Feeding Tampa Bay

by Ron Heller, History and Academic Support Teacher
Last Saturday a small group of Key Club Members from Shorecrest Upper School helped families who are food insecure by distributing supples at Tropicana Field through Feeding Tampa Bay. This will be a twice-monthly service opportunity. Looking ahead there will be similar opportunities in October and November with Come Out St. Pete, St. Pete Run Fest and the St. Pete Free Clinic Food Bank.

While Key Club members will be given priority, all Shorecrest Upper School students are welcome to express their interest with Mr. Heller if they too would like to participate.

Every Saturday, Lot 9 of Tropicana Field is used as a Feeding Tampa Bay Mega Pantry. Those in need of food can go to Lot 9 to pick up pre-packaged groceries, free of charge. For more information, including any updates to the distribution schedule, visit
