Weekly Soccer Recap, Varsity Girls Senior Night

Varsity Girls Soccer vs. McKeel Academy of Technology: 4-1 Win
It was a tough game, with the McKeel team from Lakeland attacking down the flanks early and serving many crosses into the box. The Chargers exhibited excellent defensive play by the back line as well as goalkeeper Sonoma Kasica ‘24 held the opponent to one goal. The Chargers’ midfield and offense executed their coaching strategy resulting in three goals in the first half as well as a penalty kick by Gabby Marshall ‘22 in the second half to secure the win. Kaja Dionne ‘24 scored three goals in the first half to give the Chargers a solid lead. An excellent corner kick by Addie Oman ‘24 resulted in Kaja’s third goal.

Varsity Girls Soccer vs. Largo High School: 4-0 Win
It was Senior Night for the girls varsity soccer team. Providing time for all five seniors to spend time together on the field was one of the goals of the coaching staff. This was accomplished with the support of the entire team. With goals from three seniors and plenty of playing time, the seniors finished the regular season with a win at home!
