Varsity Girls Soccer Wins State Semifinal

by Coach Idinge
Varsity Girls Soccer beat Geneva in the State Semifinal: 4-1!
Lots of offense this game contributing to the 4-1 victory. An early goal by Jada Tadros '22 set the tone and a goal by Jessie Rosenblum '22 directly before the end of the first half let the opponent know we were there to win. Addie Oman '24 and Kaja Dionne '24 scored the final two goals for the Chargers.

Defense held strong as usual with solid performances from Taylor Register '23, Olivia Tvedten '22, Payton Thompson '25, Mylie McDonough '23, and goal keeper Sonoma Kasica '24.

St. Johns Country Day beat the Chargers 2-0 at the Class 2A State Championship. Both goals came after halftime, breaking the deadlock after 55 minutes of what The Florida Times-Union called "extraordinary goalkeeping by keeper Sonoma Kasica '24." The Chargers held their own against a team without defeat in the playoffs since 2011.
