Girls on the Run returns to Shorecrest

by Raffi Darrow, Ebytes Editor
Girls on the Run (GOTR) is coming back to Shorecrest this Fall! Girls in third and fourth grade are invited. Athletes will meet Mondays and Wednesdays from 2:55-4:30pm starting the week of September 19 for 12 weeks. The final week will include a 5k, scheduled for December 3.

The team is also seeking adults who would like to help - at least 2 volunteers at each session. YOU DO NOT NEED TO BE A RUNNER TO HELP! GOTR provides the curriculum and lesson plans which are geared toward self esteem and encouraging girls to do their best while also preparing them to be able to run a 5k at the end of the program. GOTR will conduct a level 1 and level 2 background check at no charge.

Please contact parent volunteer Brittany Decker at 610-334-7431 or brittanyluvdecker@hotmail.com to learn more.
