Supporting Students in Senegal

by Sasha Schratwieser '24, Co-President of the French Club, and Sophia Smith '24, Co-Vice President of the French Club
For the fourth year in a row, Shorecrest’s French Club has collected donations to purchase school supplies for young students in Senegal, West Africa. Using the donations from last year, 61 sixth grade students received a pack of 10 notebooks and pens for their academic year. Mr. Dieng, the director of the school, sent the following words of thanks:
“We just received again a lot of notebooks for each sixth grader at our school. Students, parents, and faculty thank you so much for your support every year.”

Thank you to everyone who donated to the cause. We’re currently raising money for next year’s donation and look forward to doing this again.
