Varsity Boys Basketball vs. St. Pete Catholic: 53 -30 Win! The Chargers had a 32-7 lead at half time. All eight players played and the Chargers got their first win of the season! Nickolas Bearden '25 had 22 points, Enrique Negron '25 had 16 points and Ahmad Crumity '25 added 10 points. MS Green Boys Basketball vs. Lakeside Christian: 24-22 Win! After a slow start going down 10-4 in the first quarter, the Chargers battled back with some fine defense, making some strong finishes down low and making seven foul shots. They won at the buzzer. Ed S. '27 had solid defense-causing turnovers and scored with seconds left on the clock for the win! Sonny D. '28 had strong offensive finishes in the paint.
MS Girls Basketball vs. Lakeside Christian: 17-10 Win! A shorthanded MS Girls Basketball team took on Lakeside Christian at the friendly confines of the Crisp Gym. The Chargers won 17-10 on strong team defense led by Emma S. '28, and Sanya P. '29. Valeska T. '29 blocked 4 shots and the Chargers swept Lakeside in the season series.
MS Gold Basketball vs. Berkeley Prep: 26-29 Loss. The Chargers made great progress against a good team. In the final play, Shorecrest got two open shots to tie the game but both barely missed, making for an exciting ending to the game. Tripp R. '29, Trey R. '28, and Rowan S. '27 all contributed 8 or more points to the offense.
Varsity Boys Basketball vs. Houston Academy of Dothan, AL: 42-43 Loss. This exciting game went back and forth. At the end of regulation the score was 37-37. The game went into overtime and the Chargers lost by 1 point. Nickolas Bearden '25 lead the Chargers with 27 points.
Girls Varsity Basketball vs. Berkeley Prep: 23-55 Loss. The rebounding and hustle by the Chargers was better in this game. Graci Silverthorn '23 showed up with 18 points!
MS Boys Green Basketball vs. Bradenton Christian: 33-38 Loss. This was a close game from start to finish. The Chargers came out with some great offensive sets and strong shooting. They played some strong defense in spots but in the end Bradenton had more baskets in transition. Ed S. '27 had three 3-pointers.
JV Boys Basketball vs. St. Pete Catholic: 40-26 Win! JV Boys Basketball vs. Houston Academy from AL: 40-30 Win! JV Boys Basketball vs. Calvary Christian: 26 -56 Loss.
MS Girls Basketball vs. Bradenton Christian: 8-18 Loss. Alaya M '29 and Lexi T '29 paced the offense as the Chargers played Bradenton Christian at home. The MS Girls played tough defense and blocked multiple shots.
