A juror remarked to Aaron Sober, Upper School Art Teacher, on the student artwork, "You are commended for the quality of your work and can be very proud for having attained this level of achievement. The work submitted at all levels was outstanding. Seen as part of the larger frame of current work from our schools, these submissions demonstrate the inspirational impact ceramic education is having upon a wide range of students.”
The work will be shipped to Portland, OR, for exhibition during the NCECA conference in March. The Annual National K-12 Ceramic Exhibition is the premier juried ceramic competition for Kindergarten through Grade 12 students in the United States. Designed to showcase the best K12 ceramic work made in the country, the exhibition takes place in a different city each year in conjunction with the annual conference of The National Council on Education for the Ceramic Arts (NCECA). For that week, the host city is the world capital of ceramics, attracting approximately 20,000 artists, educators, gallery owners, non profit directors, etc.
