First Grade Meets Community Members

Shorecrest First Graders in Mrs. Sheppard's class began the year learning about the Shorecrest community by asking: Who is a part of our Chargers community and what role and responsibilities do they hold?

Last week the group visited Ms. Spencer in her office, Ms. Jeannie Cribbs in the facilities office - she helps with transportation and mail - Mr. Jeff and Mr. Cody in maintenance - who fix many things for us, and Ms. Cayce in the School Store - who helps design and sell many items with the Sparky on them!

The class discussed what might happen if Chef Erin and her team in the SAGE Dining Room can not be at school, as well as our Security Officers. They all agreed that would not be good for anyone on campus.

Mrs. Casano's class also visited Ms. Spencer's office. She told them what she loved about her job, shared pictures of her family and let students try on her Chargers Football State Championship rings!
