GSI visits Tampa Bay Committee of Foreign Relations

On September 16, members of Shorecrest Upper School's Global Scholars Initiative (GSI) attended the first Tampa Bay Committee of Foreign Relations (TBCFR) dinner of the year. Students Kurt Schratweiser ‘28 and Sofia Lee ‘27 were in attendance, along with GSI Chair Kayla Brazee and GSI Advisor Christian Marcelli.

Students had the opportunity to chat with seasoned members of the foreign relations community and attend an early Q & A session alongside Mark Orr Fellows. After a delicious dinner, attendees heard from Professor Richard Bell who gave a presentation titled “Rethinking the American Revolutions Lessons for Global Security.”

All students enrolled in GSI are invited to attend these monthly events which serve as a wonderful opportunity to network and find interview sources for their projects.
