Not sure if it's for you? Here's what last year's group experienced:

In June 2026, a group of Shorecrest Middle School students and parents traveled Côte-à-Côte across France. The journey began in Paris with the "incontournables" — the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre, Notre Dame, and a cruise down the Seine. From there, the group headed to Normandy, walking the D-Day sites at Arromanches-les-Bains (Gold Beach) and the Normandy American Cemetery (Omaha Beach).

Next came the fortified Corsair city of Saint-Malo, followed by an afternoon at Mont-Saint-Michel, which just marked its 1,000th anniversary. The group then drove through the Loire Valley to the Château of Clos-Lucé, where Leonardo da Vinci once lived. The castle was a gift from King François 1er, one of France's most powerful monarchs, who built or remodeled 12 French châteaux.

From there, students boarded the TGV (a bullet train averaging nearly 200 miles per hour) for Nice and the French Riviera. They explored the medieval hilltop towns of Eze and Saint-Paul-de-Vence, visited the Fragonard perfumery and museum, and took a small train to Monaco, where they admired luxury cars and soaked in views of the palace, gardens, mountains, and sea.

The tour wrapped up in Lyon, going through Medieval and Renaissance neighborhoods and taking a break in the Roman theater where people sat watching performances 2000 years ago.

From the beaches of Normandy to the coastline of the Riviera, this trip offers students a firsthand look at centuries of French history, culture, and daily life — the kind of learning no classroom can replicate. Is your student is ready to be part of the next journey?
