Lower School Welcomes Ashley Pedone

Mrs. Collins, lead Kindergarten Teacher, will be transitioning to a new position with Auxiliary Programs. We are happy to welcome Ashley Pedone who will be joining the Kindergarten team in her place.

Mrs. Pedone earned her Bachelor of Science in Journalism and Communications from the University of Florida with a minor in Education and is currently pursuing her Master of Education in Reading and Literacy Education at UF. She began her career in teaching before pursuing creative careers as a professional journalist and award-winning photographer, ultimately finding her way back to the classroom.

At Shorecrest, Mrs. Pedone has served as a long-term substitute teaching assistant in fourth grade and a long-term substitute lead teacher in Kindergarten. She is thrilled to now lead her own Kindergarten classroom, where her teaching style is nurturing, interactive, and focused on developing confident, curious, lifelong learners.

Ashley is also the proud mom of London ’37. Outside the classroom, she enjoys photography, traveling with her family, great coffee, and planning their next trip to Disney World.
