Ten Shorecrest Seniors Recognized as National Merit Commended Students

Shorecrest seniors William Farley '27, Ryan Flugel '27, Liliana Fort '27, Andrei Imensek '27, Ryan Jaffee '27, Claire James '27, Sofia Lee '27, Carter McCleish '27, Harper Nelson-Wooley '27 and Aadi Pudur '27 have been named National Merit Commended Students. They were recognized by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation for their exceptional scores on the 2025 PSAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test.

About 34,000 Commended Students throughout the nation placed among the top 2/3rd scorers of the more than 1.3 million students who entered the 2027 National Merit Scholarship competition. These students scored in the top 3% nationwide. Although Commended Students do not continue in the competition for National Merit Scholarships, some may be candidates for special scholarships offered by corporate sponsors due to their outstanding ability and potential for academic success in college.

These commended scholars are in addition to the recently announced National Merit Semifinalists from the Shorecrest Class of 2027: Charles Humphreys '27 and Max Martin '27.
