Since the fall of 2015, Jeremy Reiskind '13, currently a senior sports management major at Rice University in Houston, Texas, has been a marketing department intern at the Houston Super Bowl Host Committee. This organization plans and executes all of the events surrounding Super Bowl LI. The marketing team is specifically responsible for creating awareness about Super Bowl LI within Houston, Texas, and the United States.
Shorecrest alumna Alexandria Crawford '12 is in the upcoming play "Joe Turner's Come and Gone" by August Wilson at American Stage. The show runs January 18th-Feburary 19th. Tickets are on sale now at www.americanstage.org/joeturner - along with Alexandria's bio thanking Janet Root.
In honor of grandparents and Emeritus Trustees, Jan and Craig Sher, their daughters recently created The Jan and Craig Sher Service Learning Fund. This fund supports up to two high school students’ service learning trips each year and will continue to be supported for at least the next ten years.
The Prep-to-Prep Scholarship supports one Shorecrest Upper School student who has matriculated from Academy Preparatory School of St. Petersburg and provides full support for four years of tuition, fees, and other needs so that the student may fully participate in the life of Shorecrest.
