Learn about hosting a LS or MS exchange student

by Emili Jaime-Allwood, LS Spanish Teacher
As part of our Global Scholars Initiative at Shorecrest, Upper School students have hosted French exchange students for over 20 years and fourth graders have hosted Spanish-speaking students for three year. This is a great experience for students to live our school’s core values, learn about other cultures, and become global citizens. The program is expanding this year to include fifth and eighth grades!

This year, fourth and fifth graders will have a delegation visiting for two weeks from El Salvador. They will be visiting from Colegio Maya, a bilingual school in the capital city San Salvador in February or March. (This will not interfere with spring break.)

Eighth grade will be hosting a delegation for two weeks in April from Escuela Ameyali, a bilingual school from Mexico City, Mexico.

If you are interested in hosting, please contact LS Spanish Teacher, Emili Jaime-Allwood at ejaime-allwood@shorecrest.org.
