Dear Shorecrest Parents, Guardians and Students,
When we return to school after Spring Break 2019, our community will enjoy the benefits of our new Community-Inclusive Dining Program in the Dining Rooms in our new facility. Starting on March 18, 2019, SAGE Dining Services will offer our community their full-service, community-inclusive program, a major shift from the retail cafe-style program we use currently.
In an effort to introduce the dining service program to our community, the Board of Trustees has developed a generous plan.
For two weeks, March 18 - 29, 2019, the community-inclusive dining program will be provided at no cost to all students. Parents who wish to come and join their children at lunchtime are welcome to come and eat at no cost as well.
For the 38 remaining days of the 2018-19 school year families may make a choice. Children can continue to participate in the dining program for the fee listed below, or families can notify the school that they wish to opt-out of the program for the remaining 38 days food will be served.
Spring 2019 Community-Inclusive Dining Program Fees for April 1 to May 23:
3-Day Alpha $135
(no fee for half day Alpha students)
Experiential and Lower School $225
Middle School and Upper School $275
Our seniors, the Class of 2019, will not be charged for lunch for the 19 days they will have remaining as students at Shorecrest.
We will not have a retail lunch option as we do today. Children not in the Community-Inclusive Dining Program will need to bring food everyday.

The opt-out option will not be available for the 2019-2020 school year. The community-inclusive dining program will be part of tuition and an important element in advancing our health and wellness and community development strategic initiatives.

Monday, January 14 at 12:30pm in the SAC
Tuesday, January 15 at 8:15am in the Haskell Library Classroom and at 12:00 noon in the SAC
Wednesday, January 16 at 8:15am and 12 noon, both in the SAC
Thursday, January 17 at 6pm in the SAC
Representatives from SAGE Dining Services, the Board of Trustees and Administration will be present to share information and answer questions.
More information will be published in Heads Letters on Monday, January 14. Additional in-person sessions will be offered in late January and early February.
