The Middle Division Arts and Science Center opened in August 09. The Center features 11 PolyVision interactive whiteboards, science labs with outdoor patios, a computer lab with 20" iMac computers, and an art room with pottery wheels and kiln.

Junior Garrett Betsarakis was named the St. Petersburg Times "Boys Tennis Player of the Year." Senior Morgan Basil was named to the first team All County.

Senior Kathryn Kass has been chosen as the Exchange Club female Youth of the Year for the State of Florida.

Senior Alex Nunnelly is a Gold Key and Silver Medal National Award winner in the Scholastic Art and Writing awards. His play will be recognized in New York City at Carnegie Hall.

Senior Max Rabinovich was one of 40 national finalists (and the only Florida finalist) in the prestigious Intel Science Talent Search. Max presented his project in Washington, D.C., where he met President Obama.

Senior Wyatt Krapf was 1 of 12 Florida seniors to be named to the FHSAA Academic All-State Team.

47 Shorecrest students earned medals at the 2009 National Spanish Examinations. One student received a perfect score, and two students received 1st place in Florida. Over 115,000 participated in the exams.

Shorecrest's Early Childhood Program features Community Service, art, Spanish and fitness in addition to a developmentally appropriate curriculum.

Landy Hall, our new high school, has 17 classrooms all with 42" flat screens tied into our wireless computer network, a visual arts center with a digital film lab and art patio with an outdoor kiln. A closed circuit TV system enhances our broadcasting and communications curriculum.
