Affording Shorecrest

Choosing Shorecrest is an incredible investment in your child’s future. Like any investment, a Shorecrest education may require some financial prioritizing on behalf of the family. We encourage any family interested in receiving aid to complete the application process to determine their family need. In addition to the financial aid application, we must also have a complete application for admission to Shorecrest before making any aid decisions.

Tuition Assistance

Shorecrest has a fixed financial aid budget that allows us to offer need-based tuition assistance to families that qualify. Priority is given to students of faculty and staff, current families, and families with students new to the Middle and Upper Schools (grades 5-12).

Families interested in receiving aid must complete a financial aid application through FACTS, an external tool used by many independent schools to determine aid. This application is in addition to the application for admission to Shorecrest. FACTS applications open on November 1, and must be received by January 31 in order to be considered.

It is important to note that an application for tuition assistance does not affect a student’s admission decision. Average financial aid awards range from $6,000-$12,000 depending on the student’s entry grade, family ability to pay, and the overall financial aid budget.

To discuss your specific circumstances, or if you are a family interested in transferring a student mid-year, please contact the admissions office at 727-456-7511.
