Affording Shorecrest

Choosing Shorecrest is an incredible investment in your child’s future. Like any investment, a Shorecrest education may require some financial prioritizing on behalf of the family. Occasionally certain grades have aid available for qualifying families. We encourage any family interested in receiving aid to complete the application process with SSS to determine their family need. In addition to the financial aid application, we must also have a complete application for admission to Shorecrest before making any aid decisions.

Shorecrest makes every effort to support families' investments by providing the following programs to supplement what a family is able to pay:

Tuition Assistance

Shorecrest offers tuition assistance to a limited number of qualifying candidates through the Shorecrest Flexible Tuition Program. With the Flex Tuition Program, students may receive a need-based tuition discount based on an assessment of a family’s full financial situation. Shorecrest uses an external tool - “School and Student Services by the National Association of Independent Schools” (SSS by NAIS) - to determine financial need.

SSS uses a number of factors including family size, income, debts, assets, etc. to determine a family’s need. Shorecrest awards tuition assistance based on the family’s estimated need from SSS, the school’s current financial aid budget and the overall enrollment of the school.
The Financial Aid application portal for the 2020-21 school year is open until January 31, 2020. To discuss your specific circumstances, or if you are a family interested in transferring a student mid-year, please contact the admissions office at 727-456-7511.
  • An application for the Shorecrest Flexible Tuition Program does not affect a student’s admission selection.
  • The only way to estimate the award for which your family qualifies is to submit an application online at (Cuaderno de Trabajo y Manual de Instrucciones sobre la Declaración Financiera.)
  • International students should also fill out this Financial Aid Profile.
  • Families who are interested in financial aid must apply for it each year. Financial aid awards are assessed annually and may be subject to change based on your family’s financial circumstances, the overall enrollment of the school and other factors.
