Shorecrest Preparatory School in St. Petersburg has hired a full-time Director of Diversity and Inclusion. Roderick Fludd is helping with recruitment. He's also working with students by holding real-life discussions on controversial subjects like racism.

"I feel like my view on the world has grown and has developed a lot," 10th grader Zuri Patel said.

Fludd said, "Students everywhere are the same way. They always want answers to question, and it is my job to be willing and open to answer those questions."

The school's Headmaster said they also want to make sure students are not priced out of attending Shorecrest.

More than $2 million has been offered to those who need financial assistance to go to the school.
