

Code with Your Kid Workshops, Dec. 6 & 7
Computer Science Education Week 2023 is December 4-10. During that week, Shorecrest students will participate in the Hour of CodeTM. The Hour of CodeTM is a global movement reaching millions of students in 180+ countries. Coding is not just for computer programmers anymore! Coding promotes critical thinking, problem-solving, creativity, and communication skills.
Shorecrest is hosting two “Code with Your Kid” Workshops for all interested families in grades K-4. Learn alongside your child(ren) as they explore a variety of programming applications and coding software as part of Hour of CodeTM. Open to students in grades K-4. No younger siblings please.
WHEN: December 6 -OR- December 7, 3-4pm
Parents/Adults should pick-up their child at the regular dismissal spot and then bring them to the event.
WHERE: Charger Commons (outdoor tables)
WHO: For grades K-4, hosted by Ms. Katy Deegan, Lower School Technology Coordinator, and Dr. Anna Baralt, Director of Technology and Media Services
