Calculators in Kindergarten

Mrs. Minke's kindergarten class began using calculators in math. The students began with number recognition and counting on by adding 1 all the way to 100. Counting by 2's offers kindergartners skip-counting practice for even numbers. Counting by 5's helps to lock in students' understanding and use of tally marks and skip-counting to 100.
The children are very interested in using the exciting new tool as part of the Everyday Math program.
