December 9-15, 2019, is Computer Science Education Week. During that week, Shorecrest students will participate in the Hour of Code. The Hour of Code is a global movement reaching millions of students in 180+ countries. Coding is not just for computer programmers anymore! Coding promotes critical thinking, problem-solving, creativity and communication skills.
Shorecrest is hosting two Code with Your Kid Workshops for all interested families in grades K-4. Come learn alongside your child(ren) as they explore a variety of programming applications and coding software as part of Hour of Code. Due to the great turnout in years passed, two afternoon sessions will be offered, hosted by Ms. Katy Deegan and Dr. Anna Baralt.
