As they explored a mock savannah habitat, JK students imagined that they were trekking to a watering hole as they navigated an obstacle course. They travelled through a meerkat tunnel and popped their head up like these funny animals. Students balanced around a winding river while watching out for alligators. They created giraffe, hippo, zebra, and meerkat headbands of their choice and pretended to be that animal.
It may feel like summer outside but our Alpha students in the Friendly Flamingo class explored cool winter activities that were SNOW much fun! They created snow in the classroom using Insta Snow by mixing the ingredients and watching the chemical reaction, then they excitedly played with the cold snow! This fun sensory-driven activity gave our students an opportunity to investigate something not common in Florida.
