Code with Your Kid Workshops [Photos]

December 5-11 is Computer Science Education Week. During that week Shorecrest students participated in the Hour of Code. The Hour of Code is a global movement reaching tens of millions of students in 180+ countries. Coding is not just for computer programmers anymore! Coding promotes critical thinking, problem-solving, creativity and communication skills.
Shorecrest also hosted two “Code with Your Kid” Workshops for Lower School families during Computer Science Education Week. Alongside their Chargers, parents/guardians were able to explore a variety of programming applications, robotics and coding software for an hour after school.
