Battle of the Books 2025

Shorecrest Middle School had two Battle of the Books teams. These dedicated fifth-seventh grade students read 15 Sunshine State Young Reader Award Books, used Study Hall time to practice questions and strategies, and made lasting friendships in the process. They spent time between September and May discussing books and practicing with quiz-show-style challenges.

"I could not be more proud of all their hard work!" said their coach, Media & Information Technology Specialist, Casey Giroud '02. "I look forward to another great year in 2025-2026. Go Chargers!"

Students who are interested in competing next year can look for information from Mrs. Giroud in September. Two copies of each book will be available in the Shorecrest library and they will also be available digitally. More information will be available in the fall.
