As part of their landmark study, second grade went on their 2nd annual bus tour of St. Petersburg landmarks. Students learned about such landmarks as the Vinoy Renaissance Resort & Golf Club, Al Lang Stadium, Albert Whitted Airport and so many more! The day ended with a guided tour of the St. Petersburg Museum of History.
Second grade also welcomed two guest experts in the classroom talking about nature-made and man-made landmarks. Mrs. Cotter shared a fascinating presentation about Dunluce Castle and The Giant's Causeway in Ireland, and Fox Glacier and Waintangi Treaty Grounds in New Zealand. Mr. Dolan shared about the Grand Canyon. Soon they will have a guest expert sharing about two famous landmarks in New York City.
