SPS Battle of the Books 2018

For decades, Florida schools have participated in the Sunshine State Young Reader Award Books-Battle of the Books. This month, 25 fifth graders took the Battle of the Books Qualifying Test, and 14 students qualified for the 3 School Teams. The 2018 Shorecrest Battle of the Books was held in the JRT on Tuesday, April 17. Teams answered questions on 15 Sunshine State Young Reader Award books.

Team Gold: Captain Duran V, Addy C, Max B, Akshay P, and Sophia J
Team Bolt: Captain Eli L, Maggie B, Noah J, Charlie N and Daisy N
Team Gold will move on as Team Shorecrest! They will represent our school at the BAAIS Competition at Berkeley on May 1, 2018. This year's team is hoping to bring back the gold for our third consecutive championship title! #3peat
