Seventh grade English students created movie posters based on the independent reading books they read last month. Their posters had to "advertise" the books as if they were becoming major motion pictures. Students could produce their posters either digitally or on paper.
One movie poster - created by Luc H. ‘26 - was a hit with the author of the book! Luc read and enjoyed “What the Woods Keep,” a debut novel by Katya de Becerra, who combined mystery, science fiction, and dark fantasy in a twisty story.
Ms. de Becerra shared Luc’s poster artwork with her fans and followers on Twitter. In addition she posted a video created by Luc showing his process while illustrating the art for the poster on her Facebook page.
“I'm in awe of this incredible talent & honoured my work has served as an inspiration!” the author said of Luc. “I'm so impressed with the artist's skills and creative interpretation.”
