Shorecrest School

Getting Started

Head of School Letter

  1. Are expectations for effort and desired achievement clear to your child?
  1. Does your child have academic, creative, physical and service oriented goals for the year?
  1. Do the teachers know about any special situations that may allow them to best serve your child?
  1. Do you know which teachers, coaches, directors and administrators to contact if a need arises during the school year?
The Family-School Partnership is known to be one of the key elements for student success. During the past year and summer the teachers have been preparing goals and setting up communications systems to advance the educational experiences for your child(ren) and to ensure families are able to give and receive communication that will support the growth and development of our students.

Our willingness, efforts and ability to initiate and then maintain a positive Family-School Partnership will determine the degree of success our students, your children and our school community will achieve.

I encourage you to address the four questions above with the people who can best support your child in the coming year. I look forward to being with you, your children, our faculty and staff as we begin an exciting new year at Shorecrest.

Cheers!

Mike
