2nd Grade Guest Reads to Students in Sign Language

Lower School News

Second graders always look forward to having members of our Shorecrest community read to them. This week was extra special, especially for Sada G., whose mother Rosalind was the guest reader in Ms. O'Mullane's class. Rosalind is a translator for the deaf and hard of hearing. She shared two stories in American Sign Language, "Laura's Star" by Klaus Baumbart and "Corduroy" by Don Freeman.

The students were captivated by the experience and are looking forward to when she comes back to teach them a song in American Sign Language.
