Pinellas History Day
Source/Author: David Hodgson, Middle School History Teacher
March 09, 2018
On March 2 and 3, twenty Middle School students accompanied Mr. Hodgson to Largo High School to compete in the 20th annual Pinellas County History Day. This was one of the largest county fairs to date with over 20 participating middle schools. This year’s theme for the competition was “Conflict and Compromise in History.” Students had to research and analyze a topic in history and then create an exhibit, documentary, performance, website, or author a historical paper.
Students who placed in the top two are invited to compete in the Florida History Day competition from May 6-8, 2018, at Tallahassee Community College. Good luck to Sofiya I who will be heading to Tallahassee in May!
